Junior Handlers

The 2005 Georgia Specialty Committee is trying to make this a special event for Junior Handlers. We want to encourage young people and their buddies to participate in and enjoy all of the events. In addition to the typical conformation competition, there will be awards in all of the other performance areas. Here are the Highlights.

All Junior Handlers will receive a lapel rosette to wear throughout specialty week. This will alert the judges that you are competing as a Junior Handler and make you eligible for the various awards.

Conformation:

-Awards for all the typical Junior Showmanship Conformation Classes

-Best Junior in Show will receive a trophy, rosette, and a $500 savings bond (donated by Cathy’s Creations)!

Obedience:

-Award for Highest Scoring Dog with a Junior Handler

Agility:

-Award for Highest Scoring Dog with a Junior Handler

Field:

Any junior handler whose dog places or JAMS in any of the singles stakes will also get a special gift and extra tab for their rosettes.

The Juniors in or midst had better start practicing more than just conformation handling!!
